Cheating and consensual non-monogamy are different
People sometimes search for cheating when they mean an open relationship, swinging or a cuckold fantasy. Those terms are not interchangeable. Consensual non-monogamy depends on informed agreement; keeping a partner unaware is not that agreement.
Be clear about relationship agreements
Talk about what each person understands and has agreed to before introducing other people. A partner’s silence, a shared profile or an interest label does not establish permission. Someone can change their mind.
A cuckold interest is not permission to deceive
Some adults use cuckold or hotwife labels for consensual dynamics or fantasy. Ask what the label means to the individuals involved rather than assuming secrecy, roles or participation.
Privacy is different from deception
Protecting identifying information online is sensible. It should not be used to mislead a person whose agreement matters. If you are unsure about your relationship arrangements, pause new plans and have that conversation first.
